Nature Park at Your Front Door

Sunset Cliffs Natural Park, located on the southwestern edge of Point Loma in San Diego, is a picturesque coastal destination that captivates visitors with its stunning natural beauty. This 68-acre park is renowned for its rugged sandstone cliffs, which offer dramatic ocean vistas and make it an ideal spot for witnessing breathtaking sunsets. The park’s name is derived from the way the golden hues of the setting sun bathe the cliffs in a warm, ethereal glow, creating a magical and romantic atmosphere.

One of the primary attractions at Sunset Cliffs Natural Park is the network of scenic coastal trails that wind along the cliffs. These well-maintained paths provide both locals and tourists the opportunity to explore the park’s diverse ecosystems, which include native plant life, diverse bird species, and fascinating tide pools. Birdwatchers can spot a variety of coastal and migratory birds, while tide pool enthusiasts can discover marine life such as anemones, crabs, and sea stars during low tide. It’s an excellent location for photography, nature observation, and leisurely walks.

In addition to its natural beauty, Sunset Cliffs Natural Park is cherished by the local community for its recreational activities. Many visitors come here to surf, paraglide, or simply relax and enjoy a picnic. The park also serves as a serene backdrop for yoga sessions, and its sprawling green spaces provide an opportunity for quiet contemplation or family gatherings. Whether you seek adventure or a tranquil escape, Sunset Cliffs Natural Park offers a serene haven where the natural world harmonizes with the Pacific Ocean’s ever-changing beauty.

“Outstanding Views! We stayed at Casa Cordova Soleil for our corporate retreat and it was absolutely amazing! The views and sunsets were outstanding, and we practically lived on the incredible deck and sitting area that fronted the entire length of the house with full ocean views as the palm trees waved in the breeze.  Location, Location, Location….Views, Views, Views.”

“WOW, What a corporate retreat!  We had meetings in San Diego and elected to forgo the usual hotel and rent a vacation home. We saw Casa Cordova Soleil on Homeaway and couldn’t believe we could stay here for less than than our budget actually allowed for housing. We were 6 and so thrilled to be able to have our private rooms and share all the amenities this home offers for team building and down time. Every amenity we could ask for including the outdoor kitchen on the deck with killer ocean views, home theater and pool table and more. The home was immaculate and the kitchen well stocked for the night we cooked in. If you want luxury and yet Southern California laid back lifestyle, we recommend staying here. Plenty of close things to do in Ocean Beach and perfect for jogs or walks along Sunset Cliffs .”
